Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you. You can download the free pattern without giving me anything at all. The detail below is what happens when you do choose to give me something.

Aptus Patterns is operated by Zsombor Badics, a registered sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó) in Hungary.

What this site collects by itself
Nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels and no advertising code on these pages. Downloading the free pattern requires no email address and no account.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, request time, browser type) for security and abuse prevention. That is standard hosting infrastructure, not something added for marketing.
What is collected when you choose to give it
The feedback form
The questionnaire is anonymous. It asks about your paper size, iron spacing, experience level and what you would like built — nothing that identifies you. There is one optional email field at the end; leave it blank and I have no way of knowing who answered.
The form is provided by Tally. Embedding it may set cookies from Tally's own domain.
Email to me
If you write to hello@aptuspatterns.com, I keep the message so I can answer it and refer back to it if you write again. Mail is hosted by Zoho on European servers.
Buying a pattern
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details — I never see your card details. I receive your name, email and what you bought, so I can deliver the files and answer support questions.
The newsletter
Only if you tick the box yourself. You can unsubscribe from any email, and doing so removes you from the list.
Why I am allowed to hold it

Only the services that make this work, and only the part each one needs:

Your data is never sold, rented or passed to advertisers. There is nobody else.
How long it is kept
- Purchase and invoice records — 8 years, as Hungarian accounting law requires
- Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe
- Support email — while it is useful for supporting you, then deleted
- Anonymous form answers — kept indefinitely; there is nothing in them to identify you
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, hand it over in a portable format, restrict what I do with it, or object to it. Write to hello@aptuspatterns.com and I will answer within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, NAIH (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság), naih.hu, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people already on the newsletter will be announced by email.
